My journey into the world of micro-macramé began as a personal escape during the 2020 lockdowns, transforming a childhood hobby into an early career. As a child, I spent countless hours crafting friendship bracelets, a passion that reignited during the isolation of the pandemic. With time on my hands, I dove back into the comforting rhythm of knotting, which soon evolved into a fascination with micro-macramé. Read more>>

Definitely not the smoothest. I have gotten really lucky in terms of opportunities and experiences, but that doesn’t mean that my own self discovery and trials as a freelance artist have been easy. The fast paced expectations of social media, the speed at which artists are seemingly expected to put out work, it becomes exhausting and very demotivating more often than not. As someone who struggles with ADHD and just naturally works a bit slower, it becomes exhausting, and more like a chore at times rather than something fun or enjoyable. When I first came to campus, I stumbled across the Pickleball Club, which at the time was more of a casual, social group where people just got together to play. My parents are big pickleball players, so when I told them about it, we started talking about the idea of collegiate tournaments. Since then, we have been in a constant state of improvement and development with our space and offering. We have daily class offerings spread across many categories of glass art such as stained glass – flameworking/lampworking – and fused glass. Roaming art workshops are now in our offering where we can come to your establishment with our kits and stations to have a class in your space. Beginners are more than welcome in our classes, and we love hosting groups of up to 10 at a time in our studio. The name Growing Hearts represents a greater purpose behind everything we do, not just on our farm but in how we desire to live life. We are believers in Jesus Christ, passionate about discipleship and growing in love for His people.
