Meet Romelia Francisco of knoxville tn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Romelia Francisco.

Hi Romelia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello,
I enjoy taking pictures ever since I was a little girl. I remember capturing random photos with the disposable camera and eagerly waiting to receive prints from Walgreen. I had this purple digital camera that was seriously glue to my hand, anywhere we go I would constantly take pictures. I found myself signing up in a photography classes back in high school. I had an incredible instructor name, John Valentine. You would think that I continue in photography after graduating, sadly nope. Life took me to a different direction and photography was no where on my mind, it’s pretty funny if you ask me. Fast forwarding, I have a sweet little boy, named Jesiah. Of course being a proud mother, I take endless photos of him, especially in the sport world. Being a sport mom, I was introduce back into the photography world as a sport photographer! I am my son biggest fan, I love capturing his actions shots. Eventually, parents from the youth group gave me an opportunity to shoot their family session which lead one thing after another. I finally took a leap of faith. I upgraded my camera and started capturing seniors, couples, portraits and weddings. Photography if my life!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No journey is too smooth to take, there is so much blockage that had me thinking if photography was for me. Being a single mother, sport schedule is hectic. I sometime miss my son games or he would miss practice to due my crazy busy schedule. I also work a part time job, which has me editing late night at times. Balancing motherhood, work, and upcoming business is a lot to handle on one plate.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a photographer, I love wedding, couples, seniors and portraits. For my clients I aim to help them live in the moment and capture milestones that will become cherished memories years from now. I enjoy serving people with a purpose. I find myself understanding that pictures can tell its story. How? When my father passed back in 2020, I found myself going through all his photos, it is all that I have left of him. I remember looking at them and reflecting all the great times we had. Pictures brought so much comfort to me during the most difficult time of my life. Talk about picture worth a thousand words! It is priceless and worth it to photograph others. Therefore, photos are more than just something to look at, it’s an art of your life.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
