Meet Jeff Heiskell of Coldwell Banker Wallace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Heiskell.

Hi Jeff, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I came to real estate after 20 years of retail furniture management and interior design. Home remodeling had become an interest of mine due to my purchasing a fixer-upper with the initial plans of flipping the property.

I soon realized that I wanted to make the South Knoxville home my residence. After parting ways with my last employer, Ethan Allen, I happened to have an interview with a recruiter with a local brokerage. After us only briefly chatting he shook his head, laughed, and asked, “With your interests and skill set why have you not been a realtor for 20 years!?” The only answer I had was returning the laugh and commenting, “I don’t know.” Thus I made the decision to get my real estate license.

My past includes being a Warner Bros. recording artist in the 90s and through this and my continuing to write, record, and release music I brought to this new venture a wide and varied sphere of influence. In addition, I bring to my real estate career a wealth of managerial, sales, negotiation, and time management skills. I also find great enjoyment in assisting others focus on their needs and guiding them toward the best possible outcome. Being a real estate agent is the perfect fit for me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every new venture inherently presents its own obstacles. Mine were mostly in the vast knowledge required in order to be able to fully explain and navigate the forms – or ‘paperwork’ – involved with every real estate transaction. This was the primary driver for my choice of a company and a brokerage.

Coldwell Banker Wallace continues to be the right choice for me. A supportive Broker is key for anyone embarking on a career as a real estate agent.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Coldwell Banker Wallace?
For more than 80 years, CBW has been the premier residential real estate company in the region, currently with six area offices and more than 360 sales associates. The business philosophy is integrity, professionalism, and customer service. The education programs for new agents combined with professional development and continuing education for seasoned sales professionals do truly set the company apart.

Additionally, a dedicated media department provides top-notch support in the form of an integrated marketing strategy, including print and online media. I am proud to be a member of the CBW team. My two designations are ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and MRP (Military Relocation Professional).

What sets me apart as a listing agent is my sales management background – I am results-driven. Additionally, I am IDS (Interior Design Society) Certified – I offer advanced home staging and interior design services. Also, have been very involved in my family’s nursery business in my youth I have retained interest and knowledge in horticulture and specifically landscape design.

How do you think about happiness?
I derive endless enjoyment from assisting others. As a songwriter and musician, I find great pleasure in collaborating with others to put together a perfect pop song. The latter feeds into my position as a realtor in that I thrive on bringing people together to achieve a shared goal.

As someone who starts every day off with a minimum of an hour at the gym, happiness for me is a similar ongoing sense of accomplishment.
