Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Trainor.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Jordan Mckenzie messaged me about a possible band that he wanted to form with a science fiction back story and honestly, I was all for it and decided to come out and jam around a little and we all had kind of the same idea of just writing what we would like to hear live.
We clicked almost immediately and ended up writing our 1st two songs ‘Breed. Feed. Repeat’ and ‘Here Comes The Swarm’ before we had decided on a name.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road was definitely not smooth we started this band during covid and played our first show when live music started to come back but still not full so we battled room caps restrictions and not being able to play as much and as often as we wanted to.
We ended up building this brand with the little resources we had and we are thankful to be so welcomed into the local Knoxville metal scene with open arms.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
All 3 of us have a lot of different things that we do on our off Jordan works remodeling and guitar tech as in building repairing and fixing guitars bass and amplifiers. Johnny Mejia plays in a Latin groove band at many different parties around Tennessee.
Chris works at an arcade and builds his car and drag racing.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is honestly my first concert when I was 4 I saw kiss and Aerosmith and honestly the reason I love playing live and the start of the love for live music.
