Today we’d like to introduce you to Brisco Woods.
Hi Brisco, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2015 I was retiring from the military and wanted to go into business for myself. After researching a few businesses, I decided on Real Estate. I tested for my license and signed on with a team at Keller Williams.
In 2017, I was recruited by a new brokerage in Knoxville, with a new pay scale for their agents. I joined United Real Estate Solutions and quickly grew my business into a multimillion dollar producer.
In 2022, I tested for, and received, my brokers license. As a broker, I was asked to assist the managing broker in building and leading the mentor program at URES, which I did from 2022 until 2025.
In the mean time, I was offered the opportunity to publish a short story which quickly turned into several short stories, novellas, and novels. I was also asked to buy into the networking business I had been a part of, which I did with the purchase of one existing chapter and the opening of two others.
Today I am a multimillion dollar producing REALTOR, a published author, the owner of three networking chapters (so far), and am currently looking into building my real estate team.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being in business for yourself is never smooth, especially when you’re learning what it takes to be a business owner and entrepreneur. I was blessed with good mentors and advisors along the way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My brother and sister wrote and published several books before coaxing me into writing a short story. Once it was published, the publisher and my brother, whose fictional world I had written in, talked me into turning it into a novel. I enjoyed it enough that I continued.
Now I have stories and novels published in post apocalyptic, Sci-fi, western, and horror genres.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
helping other people as a REALTOR. It is amazing to see people who have achieved something as awesome as home ownership.
