Today we’d like to introduce you to Joy Smiles.
Hi Joy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born into an artistic family and had some talent in my blood. I dabbled in different art forms most of my life. I began painting passionately in 2018 and devoting time to the craft of painting, mostly psychedelic visionary art with vivid colors and lots of heart. Grateful to have been accepted to paint for Brainquility Music & Art Festival in 2018, 2019, & 2022, Imagine Music Festival 2022, Sol Fest 2022, and many more intimate events in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. Grateful for opportunities in the EDM, Music & Art Communities.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
I got many of my first breaks while working for different food vendors at Music Festivals. When I was off the clock, I would carry my easel wherever I could and would set up and spread joy as I painted. A good memory was Peach Fest & Camp Bisco’s 2019 events. I was painted for Odezsa & Lotus! That was a whirlwind of a year! The art world is challenging. However, everything has been worth it! Every struggle is worth it. I am always on as well as setting up and breaking down my “booth/tables” before and after events. I’ll be there 1-2 hours earlier and after your event/show/rave. Always worth the effort. I hope my art touches others for years to come.

Joy Smiles Art, also known as Joy Found Here, is known for its whimsical visionary art. Specializing in sacred geometry, visionary animals, and spiritual psychedelic paintings, mostly using acrylic and watercolor as the medium. My art is straight from my imagination, life experiences, and childhood. A good mix of me in each piece I create. Most proud of my last commission of 20:22; a loyal collector had me paint his father a Christmas painting, a blue jay, and a cardinal. Joy Smiles Art, we need more Joy, more smiles, and the world is less without art.

I am honored to be a creator and excited to continue to spread my art all over this country and beyond. Being an artist is a great gift! Thank you for asking me about my greatest passion sharing my art and my look at the world! The world could use more joy!
