Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda & Ryan Fraser.
Hi Amanda & Ryan, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We moved back to Tennessee six years ago, and our family immediately fell in love with the lakes and mountains. We spend as much time outside enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. Amanda is a Physical Therapist, and she saw the growing need to improve access to water for our family and friends and the numerous patients she has treated over the years. She began researching options in East Tennessee and discovered that no local companies were providing these products to the community. We started the company in hopes to provide the families of East Tennessee high quality dock accessories that made in the USA. We are proud to support our veterans, military, and first responders as we know we would not be where we are today without their support. Many of our family memories have been made of the lakes in East Tennessee, and we hope our products will give families the same opportunities and remove their limitations. The ladders, benches, and EZ Board have allowed our family, friends, and pets to enjoy all the water activities that East Tennessee offers!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
So far, everything has run smoothly, but we know there will be bumps along the way. We have three children, and both work full-time jobs (Ryan is a fireman/paramedic, and Amanda is a physical therapist), so it is busy, but we have had fun with it!
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Ryan has been a contractor on the side, so he has much building experience. This has been wonderful as he can install the products on the customers’ docks if they want. Amanda has been an orthopedic physical therapist, so she has treated many people who will benefit from these products, as they can return to enjoying the water. Due to our background in first responder/healthcare, we proudly offer a military/veteran/first responder discount. We are very proud of our children and their willingness to help. They enjoy going to events and checking out customers’ docks with us!
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
We were both heavily involved in sports growing up. Ryan played baseball, and Amanda played soccer at the University of Memphis, where we met. Ryan went on to play minor league baseball for five years after college ball, while Amanda continued to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. We both can be described as hard workers who never slow down. We are always doing something; our kids are right by our sides, learning as we go. Ryan has a sense of humor and is always out to have a good time, and Amanda always has a smile and a positive attitude.
