Inspiring Conversations with Rebecah Taylor of Lovebirds Planning

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecah Taylor.

Hi Rebecah , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My career in event planning began in 2002 as the Sales & Event Director for a high-volume, full-service hospitality company, where I gained hands-on experience in everything from sales and design to menu creation and contract negotiation. What sets me apart from other wedding planners is my experience in many faucets of the industry, not just planning.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of planning everything from intimate elopements to large-scale multi-day events, destination weddings, birthday celebrations, corporate galas, and everything in between. No event is too large or too small—I thrive on the challenge of making every detail perfect.

With 20 years of experience, I’ve built lasting relationships with amazing industry professionals. These connections, combined with my deep knowledge of event planning, have helped me create Lovebirds Planning—a full-service event planning company dedicated to bringing your wedding dreams to life. There’s nothing quite like the beautiful chaos of a wedding day.

My mission is simple: to make your wedding planning experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. From the first “Yes!” to the final dance.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Leaving a steady job with guaranteed income to start your own business is never easy. It’s terrifying—especially as a single mother.

There were moments when I didn’t know where my next paycheck would come from or how I’d find my first clients. I had to build everything from the ground up: my website, my marketing, my social media and my network.

It was overwhelming and honestly very scary, but every challenge pushed me to grow, get creative, and believe in myself in ways I never had before.

As you know, we’re big fans of Lovebirds Planning . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Lovebirds Planning is a full-service wedding and event planning company, based in East Tennessee, built on intention, clarity, and genuine care.

I’m known for my modern, elegant aesthetic and my ability to blend logistics with emotion. Precision timelines, detailed floor plans, curated vendor teams, and beautifully cohesive designs are at the heart of my process. But what truly sets my brand apart is the level of support my couples receive. I don’t just plan weddings—I protect their peace, advocate for their vision, and ensure the entire journey feels joyful.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the experience I create. My couples consistently tell me that working with me feels calming, fun, and reassuring. My goal is for every client to feel cared for, understood, and celebrated—not just on their wedding day, but throughout the entire planning process.

What I want readers to know is simple:
If you want a planning partner who brings organization, creativity, and heart to your wedding, I’m here to take the stress off your shoulders and make the journey as beautiful as the day itself.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about our city is the sense of community. Knoxville has this magic blend of small-town warmth and big-city creativity. The wedding industry here is incredibly collaborative—vendors truly cheer each other on, and that support makes all the difference. Plus, with the mountains, the river, and all the unique venues, there’s endless inspiration for unforgettable events.

What I like least? Honestly—the traffic when there’s a big game day rush! But even then… GO BIG ORANGE! It’s all part of the charm of living somewhere with so much spirit and pride.

Pricing:

  • While I don’t publish exact pricing because every wedding has its own unique needs, I’m always happy to provide a detailed, customized quote after a quick consultation. What I can share is this: I offer a range of services including full-service planning, partial planning, month-of/day-of coordination, elopements, and micro-weddings. Pricing varies based on the scope, size, complexity, and location of the event. Each proposal is tailored specifically to the couple’s needs so they’re only paying for the level of support that’s right for them.
