I started in medical billing and collections, where I saw firsthand how bad credit and financial stress were impacting my community. That’s what pushed me to launch CEO Credit Club and HB Financial Group — to bridge that gap with real education and support.
CEO Credit Club helps people build and repair credit. HB Financial Group handles taxes, bookkeeping, business setup, and tax planning. From there, I built HB Brand Co to support business owners with branding, CRM systems, and automation — plus launched Refund2Income to train new tax pros and help others build income streams too.
Each brand serves a different purpose, but the mission is the same: educate, empower, and help people move differently with money and business.
I don’t have a single breakthrough moment — but the thing I hear from almost every client is: “No one’s ever broken it down for me like this.” That right there is my why.
I’m a mom based in Fountain City, active in the community, and proud to serve a wide range of clients — including the individuals and business owners, including the cannabis industry.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but every challenge has shaped the way I do business today.
As a woman in the financial space who shows up differently — colorful, original, blue hair and all — I stand out immediately. I don’t fit the typical mold of what people expect from a tax or financial expert. And while I don’t have to fight to be taken seriously — because once I start talking, people know I know my stuff — I have had to navigate judgment, assumptions, and being underestimated before opening my mouth.
The real struggles came with scaling, learning to build systems, and wearing all the hats while still trying to serve clients at a high level. There were times I felt stretched thin or questioned if it was all going to work.
But I’ve stayed true to myself and my mission, and that’s made all the difference. The people who work with me appreciate that I keep it real, break things down in a way they actually understand, and always lead with education and impact. So no, not easy — but 100% worth it.
