Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Miller.
Hi Cindy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been selling something for as long as I can remember. I sold punch boards when I was 4 yrs old. Then I graduated to selling farm products. We had a large dairy farm, and we always had an abundance of everything from vegetables to fruits and berries. Our parents would let us sell anything we picked ourselves. One summer when I was about 16 or 17, I picked and sold 96 gal of blackberries. Thats a lot of berries. My first real job was at an Autoparts store. I was hired to work in the office, but I quickly learned Bookkeeping was not for me. I would rush as fast as I could and when I was finished in the office I would go out to the counter and start selling parts. Finally, my boss moved me to the counter and hired someone else for the office. Some years later, my husband and I bought a garage in our hometown and ran it successfully for many years.
Then in 1990 I purchased a tract of land that was being developed, for $14000, with thoughts of building on it someday. It had beautiful virgin timber on it. I sold the timber for $30000. Then I decided to sell the property as well and I sold it for $28000. Not bad for 3 yr investment. Thats when I decided to get my real estate license. I started selling Real Estate in 1999. I have loved this business every day since. I have worked for several different developers over the years and have always been at the top in sales. I have had some amazing mentors and the best Brokers on the planet. Each client is precious to me and each sale has its own personality. Some are hard and some are easy, but they are all exciting to me. I have truly been blessed to work in a field that I love. I am as excited today as I was when I made that first sale 26 years ago.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have faced many challenges in my life. We all do. My motto has always been, Improvise and Overcome. Every problem has a solution; you just need to find it. I always look to the Lord for those solutions. He has never failed me. Never give up!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a Real Estate Brokerage in Loudon TN.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
You have to stay current. Don’t be resistant to change.
There are always big changes in real estate! Many of our clients are going to AI for expertise in listing and selling their properties. You have to stay current. Don’t be resistant to change.
I believe this will be advantageous for Real Estate Professionals, because people tend to take facts about their home better when it comes from an impersonal source. I think we can use AI as a great tool.
