Hidden Gems: Meet Christin Johnson of Premier Title Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christin Johnson

Hi Christin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up extremely poor, to the point of homelessness at the age of 17. I knew from a young age that I wanted to break the generational curse, so I put forth every ounce of effort I had to be better. I started working at 14, graduated high school and went straight to college. I graduated with my degree in accounting and a minor in business management. I accepted a job as a receptionist at a local title company and immediately wanted to know everything there was to know about the industry. During this time, I got married, had 2 boys, all while navigating this ever-changing industry. This is where I also met my business partner, Jenifer Marks. There was some tension, mainly due to my jealousy, but once we were united on a team together, it was the end game. We knew we were meant for more. We had our own ideas and our own way of treating people with the respect and kindness that poured from us and we put it into motion. In 2020 we took the leap of faith and opened Premier Title Group. And we haven’t looked back since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall, the struggles we have faced and ultimately overcome have made us stronger as a team. We put forth our own values and stay true to what is important to us in order to overcome any struggle we may come across. In my opinion, there hasn’t been a day that any issue or struggle has ever made us look back with regret or concern. As a team we are able to work through any obstacle that is thrown our way, and we take pride in that.

As you know, we’re big fans of Premier Title Group. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Premier Title Group was an idea that Jenifer and I had one summer when we wanted to do things our way. The right way with integrity. We wanted to make a difference in this industry and put the client first. Buying a home is one of the most stressful experiences. Our goal is to ease the stress, enjoy this time at the closing table where the celebration and excitement can set in. We are known as the “Smooth Crew”. This nickname was given to us after Jenifer and I set forth our values and instilled our way of client care into every transaction. We are here to assist in any real estate transaction, whether it be a refinance, cash closing, lender closing, etc.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
One thing I love about Knoxville is the comradery. The love these people have for their city, their sports teams, the local businesses. It’s all centered around kindness and caring for one another.

Traffic is one of the things that everyone can agree will put a damper on your mood. However, we have to accept the fact that even though it is inconvenient, it shows the growth our city is experiencing and for that we should all be grateful.
