Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Cook.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
About ten years ago, my husband and I started this company after spending years doing planning, videography, and photography as a hobby for friends and family. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into something so much bigger when I realized how deeply I loved serving people on some of the most important days of their lives.
We first built our business in State College, Pennsylvania, and over time, our work and reputation grew. We became known for our customer care, genuineness, and warmth – always going above and beyond to make our clients feel seen and supported. Eventually, we launched another branch here in Knoxville, Tennessee, where we’ve continued to grow and serve couples with the same heart and purpose.
Our motto is “We Tell Your Story,” and that’s truly at the center of everything we do. Whether it’s planning, coordinating, or capturing a wedding day, it’s never about us – it’s about each couple’s unique journey and making sure their story shines through every detail. Looking back, I’m so grateful for how this business has grown, but even more grateful for the relationships we’ve built along the way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. When I was 29, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time, it was the middle of the pandemic, and I was going through chemo while my husband was caring for our small children. We had to completely pause the business during that season, which was so hard for us both personally and professionally.
Once I went into remission, we decided to relaunch the business – and it has grown into our full-time jobs now. That experience really shifted our perspective. We’re more grateful than ever for the chance to do what we love each day and to build something meaningful for our family and our clients.
Outside of that, we honestly haven’t faced many challenges with clients. We feel incredibly blessed to work with such wonderful people who trust us and share our heart for authentic, beautiful celebrations.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a wedding planning and production company specializing in creating intentional, meaningful celebrations that feel true to each couple’s story. Our motto is “We Tell Your Story,” and that’s truly at the heart of everything we do. We offer full planning, coordination, design, videography, and photography services, ensuring every detail is cohesive and authentic.
We’re known for our genuine care for our clients. People always tell us they feel like they’re working with a friend who truly understands them and has their best interest at heart. Our approach is very relational. We’re organized and detail-oriented, but at the end of the day, what sets us apart is how we make people feel – calm, supported, and genuinely seen.
I’m most proud of the way we’ve built this business on integrity, kindness, and warmth. We never want anyone to feel like “just another client.” We want them to feel celebrated and cared for, because that’s exactly what they deserve.
What sets us apart is that we don’t just plan weddings or capture beautiful images and films – we walk alongside our couples through an incredibly emotional season of their lives, making sure their day reflects their values, their journey, and the people they love most.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What we love most about Knoxville is how artistic and full of opportunity it is. There’s such a vibrant creative community here, and people are incredibly supportive of local businesses and each other’s dreams. Plus, the southern hospitality is unmatched – everyone is so welcoming and kind.
If I had to pick something I like least, it would be that we don’t some of our family here. ,We love Knoxville so much and wish more of our loved ones could experience life here alongside us.
