Community Highlights: Meet Whitney Taylor of Country-Fried Charm Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Taylor.

Hi Whitney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started out with on rack of clothing in my bedroom in 2018. Sold to my friends and family & started a FB group. I gradually grew and needed more space so I took over our one-car garage! Somewhere along the way, I found out about a mobile boutique being a thing!

So I started doing research and a few months later decided to take the plunge and buy a trailer. I would set up around my town and did vendor shows with it and was able to have somewhere to house all my inventory. I then got brave and started doing live sales on Facebook & made a website. I have been extremely blessed with the best customers and my business has continued to grow.

I outgrew my garage and then moved into a shared warehouse space with my husband. It was EXTREMELY hot! So that didn’t last long! I was able to take over his old shop that was in the middle of storage buildings here in Jacksboro. It had two garage doors on it so we backed my trailer into one side and set up a storefront in the other section. So customers would shop the floor and the trailer!

I never dreamed a storefront was an option for me and it wasn’t even on my radar. But one day, my husband called and said come get me we are going to look at this building! His friend had a space on the four-lane that he was selling and we felt it was the right fit for us!

So this year, I opened a storefront! So exciting! I still plan to take my trailer to certain vendor shows as I love the mobile side of it! We now have an App also!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Working for yourself is never a smooth road. It takes ALOT of time. And you are not working. I try to separate home life from work life but it is hard.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I sell women’s clothing S-3x & home decor. I catered to all sizes I feel that is what sets me apart! And the compliment I get the most!
