Community Highlights: Meet Kimberly Black of Trusted Field Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Black

Hi Kimberly, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started doing property preservation. Realtors and Mortgage Companies sought us out due to our reputation and service areas. As we grew, we expanded into home remodels and renovations.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not one bit. We experienced 2 government shut downs and a pandemic. During the Covid-19 Pandemic we had to pivot and relocate our operations to Knoxville, TN. The great people of East Tennessee welcomed us. We appreciate the hospitality.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Trusted Field Services has grown to become a trusted provider of a wide range of concrete solutions. From residential and commercial projects to specialized services like ADA modifications and asphalt paving. The work owner & founder Kimberly is most proud of is her work making Knoxville Area Transit bus stops ADA accessible. As a result of their hard work, Trusted Field Services was the Recipient of the City of Knoxville’s 2023 Rising Star DBE Award. Recently, Kimberly was the 2024 YWCA Tribute to Women Business & Industry Honoree.
