Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Fellhoelter.
Hi Jonathan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in Knoxville I was your normal kid. Went to public school, got good grades, played sports and really enjoyed all of it. While playing sports, that gave me the opportunity to cultivate relationships and learn work ethic from a young age. The downside of playing sports is the time commitment they take up; being in school almost 40 hours a week, sports take up between 30-60 on top of academics. This made it quite difficult to get a job and earn some money later throughout my school. I worked for the family business F.E. Trailer sales (formally K and L Trailer Sales), but something was always missing. I wanted something that I could call mine, I enjoyed helping out with the family business; but never saw that as a viable career option unless I owned it one day. I craved for something I could build myself. That is when I started Sharp Blade Superior Services in 2018, starting with mowing lawns in my neighborhood quickly expanded to a full fledged business. SBSS (Sharp Blade Superior Services) expanded toward the landscaping market, pressure washing scene, and overall additional services that clients requested. At the age of 16 I was struggling to run the business while simultaneously play football. Looking back on this, it really taught me to push through, as I would have football workouts from 7-11; then get back at 11 start working until about 6PM that night. Doing that for 4 years was quite the challenge, that said I was able to look back and see what I built. Once I saw that I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, I love the startup scene, I love the mess, the problem solving, I knew I would be an entrepreneur for the rest of my life.
Jumping forward to post secondary education, I elected to attend Taylor University, where I would study Business and Entrepreneurship. I just recently start a IT Solutions company that comes alongside small businesses, providing excellent, innovative solutions that don’t break the bank. I also just recently started an umbrella organization oversees five gaming companies with a combined membership of over 1,500 members, focused on delivering immersive and structured community driven experiences across the world; two of which prioritize the protection of minors (as they get exploited online quite frequently, and on-one knows) and the emphasize importance of mental health in gaming.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I will speak broadly about this covering all the entities.
For me personally I do not believe that is has quite a smooth road, but I love problem solving and having to quickly think on my feet. There have been so many challenges, there is a saying “if it was easy, everyone would do it”. In my personal opinion, this is there are not a ton of entrepreneur and there are many 9-5 employees. For me it was always if I am going to do this task, why I am doing it for them (the business owner or entity) why am I just not doing it for myself?
The biggest part of business in my opinion is managing people, you can’t control people like you can technology; it it hard to predict how people will react to situations and predict their actions.
Overall, the road has been incredibly rocky and bumpy. That said, 110% it is worth it for myself. I enjoyed learning from all the little, big, and life-changing bumps in the road.

I see AI completely transforming the outlook on not just technology, but landscaping and lawn care as well. On both sides lead generation and SEO enhance is a huge opportunity for any company to jump into.
