Community Highlights: Meet Ella Scaduto of Smoky Matchmaker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ella Scaduto.

Hi Ella, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello loves.

My name is Ella Scaduto and I am a matchmaker at Smoky Matchmaker formerly known as Ella’s Euro Matches. When I think about how I got into matchmaking, I think back to nearly 18 years ago when my husband and I met, or should I say were introduced.

Back then, my mother and her friend were just enjoying their girl time when they decided to play matchmakers. Fortunately, that worked out very well, thus creating a new believer in the power of a well-thought-out introduction, or in that case pure luck.

Most cultures have some method of introducing young people to the community in the hopes of creating a good, loving, and long-lasting marriage. The people with a unique skill to recognize compatibility and promise between two people, hold a high status in their communities and are well respected. They have different names based on the culture, but they all have the same mission: to create loving couples for many years to come.

Fast-forward a few years. I realized how much fun and joy I got out of my first successful match, which was completely accidental. The ability to see something in one person and then connect that to another person as potential compatibility is pretty amazing and most certainly spiritually rewarding.

In Judaism, matchmakers believe that for every 3 matches they make, they receive a special place in heaven. I’d like to have an entire neighborhood waiting for me when it’s my time. Matchmaking is my passion, and I strongly believe that there is someone for everyone and everyone deserves to be loved!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every business has its ups and downs. I did not come from a family of business owners and I still have much left to learn. Finding the right matches for clients can be tricky at times.

My newest challenge is to establish myself here in a new state as a go-to matchmaker and get my Exceptional Singles Events going. My mission is to help as many people as I can to find love.

As you know, we’re big fans of Smoky Matchmaker. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
As a boutique matchmaking service, I have been matchmaking singles all around South Florida and beyond and now it is time for Tennesseans to find their happily ever after. This is not just a business for me, it is my calling and my purpose. Serving singles is a very rewarding process.

I help my clients find that special connection they yearn for, and find love with someone they can relate to on many different levels. I get to know everyone on a more personal level and try to understand everyone’s true needs and desires.

Clients benefit from discrete personalized attention, I am their cheerleader and promoter. I am there to help with an outfit or a conversation starter. I coach singles on dating and all the fun stuff it entails. Getting back into the dating world can be tricky and challenging, but I am here to help.

My proudest moment was when I got invited to a wedding of a lovely lady in her 70s whom I introduced to a wonderful gentleman who lived across the state. It was her lifelong dream to get married, and it came true. They are still in love and blissfully married.

I offer my undivided attention as your Dating Coach, my expertise as a Matchmaker, and an invitation to join Exceptional Singles Meet and Mingle Group on meetup. My special offer to the wonderful readers is a 20% discount on any service, just mention this article.

As a professional Certified Matchmaker and Certified Science-Based Relationship and Dating Coach, I would like singles to know that there is someone special out there waiting to meet them.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
A few years ago I would have said that dating apps would take over and leave very little room for old-fashioned matchmakers. Now, in the matchmaking industry, we see a shift coming back to us.

Singles of different backgrounds, ages, and socioeconomic statuses are experiencing dating app fatigue. Spending endless hours online (up to 11 hours a week to be precise) in search of The One, being exposed to hundreds of profiles just to find another pen pal, can be exhausting.

Single adults turn to matchmakers for help, to get that personalized attention, to get away from the online noise and sifting through countless profiles, and for every person, there is a right matchmaker or a dating coach to help. Of course, dating apps will live on to service people’s needs.

Most matchmakers are on social media platforms offering dating tips and relationship advice that can be easily implemented in the real world. I personally do not see the matchmaking industry going away any time soon, it is after all one of the oldest professions.
