Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey with permanent jewelry began in 2022, the moment I received my first piece—I was instantly hooked. There was something so elegant, effortless, and personal about it that I knew I had found something special. With the unwavering support of my amazing husband, Tom, I turned that passion into a reality and launched Unbranded Permanently in August 2024 in Palatine, Illinois.
What started with a few small local shows quickly became something much bigger than I ever imagined. I realized early on that this business wasn’t just about jewelry—it was about people. My customers became so much more than just clients; they became friends, part of my journey. They return not just to see my latest chain or charm, but to share their stories, update me on their lives, and create new memories together. Every piece I weld holds a personal meaning, and I’m honored to be a part of those special moments.
In February of 2025, my family and I moved to Tennessee, and that move brought incredible growth—my business took off like a rocket. But again, I had to stop and reflect: this wasn’t just because of the jewelry. It was because of me—the relationships I build, the care I take in every piece, and the genuine joy I feel in sharing this experience with others.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my husband, Tom, our beautiful daughter, Payton, and the countless wonderful customers who have trusted me with their stories. For that, I am endlessly grateful.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate on this journey, and while my road hasn’t been rough, I’ve never taken a moment of it for granted. I’ve poured my heart, time, and energy into this business, and I’m proud of the work I’ve done. I truly love what I do—and that passion shines through in every piece I create and every person I meet.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been captivated by beauty, sparkle, and self-expression. One of my favorite memories is sneaking into my mom’s closet, slipping into her fancy dresses and high heels (all of it hilariously oversized), and layering on her jewelry until I jingled with every step. I’d then beg her to do my makeup, and once I was fully “glammed,” I would strut down the hallway—my very own runway—showing off every twirl and pose I could manage.
Those moments sparked something in me: the joy of feeling beautiful, confident, and uniquely me. It’s a feeling I now strive to recreate for every customer who walks up to me!
