Community Highlights: Meet Alaina Davis of Health Forward Integrative Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alaina Davis.

Alaina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into women’s health started with my own story. I walked through years of chronic pain from endometriosis and the heartbreak of infertility, and those experiences lit a fire in me to support other women who felt lost or dismissed in their health journeys. That passion led me to become a certified women’s health coach with a focus on hormone balance, gut health, and whole-body wellness. I opened Health Forward in 2019 and have had the honor of walking alongside many women as they work toward feeling like themselves again.
After the birth of my youngest child, we faced unexpected challenges with his health — including fascial tension, oral restrictions, and breastfeeding difficulties. In seeking answers for him, I discovered the world of craniosacral fascial therapy and saw firsthand how powerful gentle, hands-on therapy could be for babies and their mamas. That experience inspired me to become a CFT practitioner and return to school for massage therapy.
I recently graduated and am preparing to open a new practice in September that brings it all together — offering both therapeutic bodywork and holistic health coaching for women and little ones. It’s been a winding path, but one that I feel meant to be on. I feel incredibly grateful to do this work!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely not been a smooth road — more like a winding one with some steep climbs along the way. Much of what I’ve built has grown out of deeply personal, hard-fought experiences — navigating my own health challenges, becoming a mother, and trying to hold space for both family and business at the same time. Starting a practice while raising young kids has been no small feat, and going back to school full-time for massage therapy on top of it all stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. But each season — even the hardest ones — has shaped the kind of practitioner I am today: someone who understands firsthand how layered healing can be, and how important it is to meet women where they are.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Health Forward Integrative Therapy?
At Health Forward Integrative Therapy, I offer a unique blend of therapeutic bodywork and holistic health coaching with a focus on women and infants. I specialize in craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT) for babies — especially those navigating oral ties, breastfeeding challenges, or tension-related discomfort — as well as integrative massage therapy and wellness coaching for women dealing with hormone imbalances, gut health concerns, and fertility or postpartum transitions.
What sets my practice apart is the way it combines hands-on therapies with root-cause wellness support. I don’t just want my clients to feel better temporarily — I want them to understand their bodies and feel empowered in their healing journey. My work is deeply relational and grounded in the belief that women and babies deserve care that listens and honors their story.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Health Forward has always felt like a safe and welcoming space. It’s not sterile or clinical — it’s calming, warm, and designed to meet women and families exactly where they are. Whether someone is seeking relief from physical tension or support in untangling complex health symptoms, I want them to know this is a place where they will be seen, heard, and supported — body, mind, and heart.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
As a Knoxville-area mom and practitioner, it means so much to serve this community. I know how hard it can be to find holistic, compassionate care — especially during fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum — and I’m honored to help fill that gap here at home.
