Today we’d like to introduce you to Akash Patel.
Hi Akash, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Akash Patel. I have studied for Radiology. I am a Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT Technologist. My family and I moved to Knoxville in 2024. My goal is to achieve financial freedom for me and my family. While working full time job, I was always looking for business to start on the weekends. We have had several family events back to back in last year or so, and every time we noticed how much it would cost to rent party rental items. After researching about the party rental industry, my family and I decided to pursue it and that’s how we started HK’s Rental Hub. It has only been a little over a year in the business, but there has been a lot of learning curve for sure. The name of our business is after my wife’s and my sister’s first letter of their first name (Krina & Hardi). I believe my wife and my sister are both lucky for me. It requires hard work, efficiency, and little bit of luck to achieve success in business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is no such thing as a smooth road in business. There will always be struggles when starting a business, but how a person handles the struggles is what matters. There have been many times in the past year when my family and I have missed family functions and most of the weekends. There are many days when my family and I have worked our regular 9-to-5 jobs and then gone straight to deliveries for party rental items. With God’s grace, we have overcome every struggle that came our way and are moving forward strongly.
