Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachele Bailey.
Hi Rachele, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My mom was a model/actress in Los Angeles and got me into the industry as a baby. I had my first shoot at 6 months old and still work in the industry today. Through the years, I have worked as a model, actress, casting director, producer, wardrobe and set stylist, and HMUA. For over a decade, I have been the agency director of Gage Talent.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have been fortunate for the most part! It’s a very competitive industry, and of course, there will always be some not-so-great people (just as there are in any industry), but I have been in this industry my entire life and have had great experiences overall.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
As a talent agent, I work 24/7. There are no off days. I am constantly working with clients/casting directors submitting talent for jobs, getting talent availability and relaying to clients/casting directors, getting audition videos from talent, sending talent their details for bookings, meeting with new talent, invoicing clients and keeping up with payments, seeking out new clients in other markets for more opportunities for my talent, making sure I have the most current photos/info for my talent, and that’s just a few of the things I do. I could go on all day 🙂 I work with the most notable clients/casting directors, and I am very grateful for the incredible opportunities they provide for my talent. I am also thankful to represent many extremely talented models and actors of all ages. I am so proud of them and their hard work/professionalism.
What does success mean to you?
There are many ways to define success, so it’s hard to go with just one answer success has a lot to do with setting and surpassing your goals. Ambition is key. Anyone can do or be anything they want, but they must put their mind to it and work hard. There will always be roadblocks and setbacks, but pushing through and not giving up is what makes you successful in the end.
