Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Lamb.
Hi Jordan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Savannah began flourish in 2018. This had been a dream of hers for awhile and thanks to the support and encouragement of her husband, Isaac, she decided to jump in and start her own business at the beginning of 2018. What started as an idea and a dream became a reality, and I am so thankful to be able to share it with you!
This whole thing started from a really tough place in her life. It seemed there were a lot more hard days than good days. This season of life challenged her to create something that could be used as a tangible glimpse of hope, love, and kindness in anyone’s situation. We think flowers are able to do just that.
I (Jordan) came on as co-owner with Savannah in the summer of 2022! We always laugh about how I started part time, went full time within a few weeks and had these conversations about co-ownership a few months in. We both feel like we’ve known each other for forever so this has been a natural fit and balance for the both of us.
One of my favorite parts of Flourish is how much we care for your reason behind sending flowers. I love to be able to create something that is unique to your occasion or reason for needing comfort or joy in florals that day. I am always finding the tiniest of reasons to celebrate absolutely anything in our business, big or small because I think there is always some joy to be found!
The heart behind this business is to create opportunities for people to love themselves and those around them well! We believe we are made to enter into the lives of those around us, and with the gift of flowers we can both celebrate and grieve with others. I see so much beauty and so much good in these little creations and my hope is that you will too.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, we could not be more proud of the support we have in the Knoxville community and we have enjoyed building all of the relationships we have over the past 7 years. We have lost one of our flower trucks in a fire, which led us to hiring the sweetest mechanics who come check on our trucks weekly and have become more like family to us.
Making the tough decision to close our flower farm in 2023, but still purse local flowers and supporting other local growers was tough but fulfilling.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are best known for our flower bar at each location, where you can shop everything priced per stem and build your own bouquet. We are also popular with our local deliveries, where everything on our website was created by our team and is original color palettes and not the same copy and paste you get from a more traditional shop.
We believe our ability to create something specific to the reason you are celebrating or grieving or need a pick me up, we are creating something that is original to you.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
We want to inspire the Knoxville community by being a tangible glimpse of beauty, creativity and connection. One of our core values is to connect with one another and create those relationships through the power of flowers.
Together, we can all truly flourish!
