Check Out Haylee Gaffin’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haylee Gaffin.

Hi Haylee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I began my photography business as a side hustle in college while working other jobs and getting through school.

Once I graduated, I entered the advertising world and spent a few years loving that while still managing my side business photographing weddings and families.

In 2017, I took a contractor role where I worked with a lot of entrepreneurs and saw how beautifully and seamlessly these creatives had built their businesses. I also began working on podcasts that same year and decided to help some friends launch their podcasts.

What began as a photography business eventually morphed into what is now both a photography and podcast production company, where I work with creative businesses at Gaffin Creative.

In 2020, I decided to take my business full-time to pursue a career in podcast production as a strategist and manager.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It took me nearly 10 years to decide to pursue this business full-time. While it hasn’t always been easy, it’s definitely been worth it.

There are times that I wonder where I could be if I’d pursued it earlier.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m the owner of Gaffin Creative, which is primarily a podcast production company for creative entrepreneurs. We offer podcast launch and management services, along with strategy!

I also host Clocking In with Haylee Gaffin, where I provide free education for podcasters and entrepreneurs.

Through Gaffin Creative, entrepreneurs who are interested in learning about podcasting can get their hands on both free and paid resources!

What makes you happy?
I find happiness in serving my clients, but also in experiencing life outside of work.

For a very long time, I lived to work and I’m finding that you can create your own balance and not revolve around work (even as a business owner) all the time.

I love spending time with my husband, our family, and friends, or cuddling with my two dogs and cat. I’m an avid traveler and have created more space for travel this year than ever before.
