Life & Work with Simone Busby and Regan-Lea Jenkins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Busby and Regan-Lea Jenkins.

Hi Simone and Regan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our story starts in 2020. We started off just helping out a friend set up for an engagement party.

We received so much positive feedback after installing the balloons for the engagement party. With that feedback, we began to explore our options of launching our very own small business. After various conversations and more and more inquiries for balloons, we decided to put our foot on the gas and begin building Balloon Boss.

So really. this idea just landed in our lap. We never knew that our work would turn into a profitable business, but we are so excited that it did.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have definitely been some bumps along the way to get to where we are today. With backgrounds in law and nuclear engineering, we have experienced our fair share of learning curves while establishing Balloon Boss.

From bookkeeping to balloon tying methods, we have had to learn on the go. The mistakes we have made so far have allowed our business to grow. Most of our adjustments made came from realizing there were easier methods to use to make the balloon installation quicker.

We have leaned on other balloon professionals to figure out how to work smarter and not harder. We find it is important to understand in the balloon business that perfection is just a word.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
