Life & Work with Ashton McReynolds and Baron Von Kessler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashton McReynolds and Baron Von Kessler.

Hi Ashton and Baron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Ashton- I grew up as an active kid and always enjoyed being in shape. During my time as a collegiate equestrian athlete, I found my passion for fitness. I began going to the gym about two years ago to keep me active now that I no longer had sports in my life.

I was always super big into social media and making video edits so around September of 2021, I decided to join my two hobbies and create an online page where I could post my workouts, travels, daily routines, and relatable content to reach others with the same interest.

As a female in my 20s, I understand the struggles and challenges that come along with body image. I want to be as transparent as possible to help others to find what works best for them. My goal is to inspire people to get out of their comfort zone to create the best version of themselves.

Baron- I grew up in a very completive family all my life. Played many sports when growing up and grew to love tennis. I played tennis all throughout high school and had it consume my life. After high school, I missed the competition aspect I had all my life.

That is when I got into lifting. Since I got into lifting, I have trained with many of my friends who like to compete in Crossfit, powerlifting, and bodybuilding. Being able to surround by all of these amazing people gave me the opportunity to learn different aspects of lifting and how there are different cultures in the lifting community.

I have recently moved to Tennessee and have been able to really focus on my fitness journey and share my knowledge with others. I continue to learn from others and am now at the point where I would like to do the sharing as well!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far, our fitness journey has been pretty smooth.

We began publicly posting on social media in September so we are still trying to reach larger audiences to expand our brand. We have received so much support online and from familiar faces. We have so many plans for travel to explore new cities, gyms, and brands.

Our biggest challenge is providing good quality content while having a full-time job traveling and being a college student. To help with this, we plan ahead for the week to decide what to post and stay on schedule.

Staying active on multiple social media platforms is challenging but worth every bit.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Baron- United Airlines pilot based in Newark, NJ flying domestically. I am known for being motivational and having a good work ethic. I am most proud of the life-long friends I have made and how far I have come in my career at such a young age.

Ashton-Along with being a full-time college student, I work part-time concierge at Cirrus Aircraft. I work with customers and instructors for training & deliveries of aircraft at Vision Center. I am most proud of balancing school, social media, family, and taking care of myself.

What sets me apart from others is my determination and attention to detail. I am a very personal person and enjoy working with others. We both are very goal-oriented and value the importance of having a good routine.

We strive the be the hardest working in the room and always push ourselves to perform better than yesterday.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Because of Covid-19, many people took an interest in getting in shape because of lockdowns and quarantines.

Fitness and social media are more popular now than ever and I believe we have the means to properly influence and educate others throughout their own journeys.

Along with shutdowns, we had to learn to make do with what we had. Gyms temporarily closed down and we didn’t have access to the equipment we were used to training with. We had to be creative in finding what we could do to meet our needs.
