Inspiring Conversations with Pamela Little of Southern Lights Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Little.

Hi Pamela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I loved music from an early age my father was a preacher here in town. David Bullard is no longer with us. My mother, Sandra Bunch played and sang at area churches with my dad. She later moved on to Nashville and was in the grand ole opry one time at the Ralph Emery Show and use to sing with boots Randolph in Printers Alley in Nashville so my love of music grew.

Thus the main street at least I was thinking of me. For years, I can’t sing or play any instruments but I found I was good at booking shows for artists. I’ve only been doing this for about 2 years so I have no doubt that I’ve got many more years to go.

I am a promoter a booking agent and a manager. I am the manager of a band called Count Pariah from Knoxville, Tennessee which is gonna take the world by storm with all of their original rock music, I also am the manager of Coy MTM. A wonderful rap artist from Virginia his music changes people’s lives.

Also, the manager of Mic Menace a native to Knoxville, Tennessee just starting out his rap career. I also book for around 52 different bands ranging from rock metal to country. Of course, I can’t help them all. But I try. After all, it’s about the artist and about the music about being heard music changes lives and matters… So this is why I do what I do.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a struggle with COVID-19. Music was at a stop for a while. Bands were dying to play cause it’s in their blood so I’m here trying to book them shows they still book for themselves also. I’m just here to pull together resources to help out.

My life and business have been a struggle with children and grandchildren nothing is easy, I just lost my daughter on Jan. 3, 2022, from drug addiction she got sober Thanksgiving this year but the years of abuse took their toll on her we had her funeral on Jan. 13th which was her birthday I’ve thought about quitting the music promotion but one thing keeps running.

Thus my head (mom don’t quit your good at this). That’s what she would always say to me so I’ll continue being the best I can be for all my wonderful musical friends

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Southern Lights Entertainment?
Southern Lights entertainment is a booking agency a management service and we also do the promotion of shows bands include:

  • Zak Saltz band
  • Count Pariah.
  • Crooked Eye Tommy.
  • Coy Mtm.
  • Mic Menace.
  • Carteret Banks.
  • Rebel’s fox.
  • Failure 2 Conform.
  • Awesome ray ray.

How do you define success?
Being an honest trustworthy friend to a lot of people. The artist is what makes it work without them I would have no one to take care of.

I also do a lot of work with the homeless. My daughter and I would make up gift bags we call full of the basic essentials, such as toothpaste toothbrush soap sanitizer socks things like that, and pass them out to the local homeless… I will continue this legacy without her but in her name.

I call it the one-step project cause we are all just one step away from being homeless.
