Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Allmon
Jasmine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been a licensed beauty health and wellness professional since 2017, beginning with me going back to school to become an esthetician at the age of 26.
I currently work as a licensed cosmetic tattoo practitioner, aesthetic trainer, as a skincare specialist and medical assistant at Performance Medicine West Knoxville.
Being a tattoo practitioner led me to open my own business, Allmon Artistry, specializing in cosmetic tattooing which includes but not limited to Eyebrow Micro- shading, Lip Blushing & Brightening, Permanent Eyeliner, Freckles & Beauty Marks etc…
In conjunction, I’m uniquely certified in Paramedical Tattooing offering treatment for scars, stretch marks, scalp micropigmentation, and 3D Areola tattooing.
My passion has always been to help others in feeling and looking their best and getting to train others in my industry to do the same is equally as rewarding for me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Continuing my education and forging my own path comes with unique challenges. Monetarily, mentally, and emotionally.
Building a clientele in a competitive industry and being a POC where the majority of my colleagues do not look like me, pushes me to continuously advance my training and skillset so that I can set myself apart. Non of which comes without sacrifice.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Allmon Artistry?
My name is Jasmine Allmon and I’m the proud owner of Allmon Artistry, located in Knoxville TN. I’m an 8 year licensed medical aesthetician, educator and trainer, a licensed cosmetic & paramedical tattoo practitioner. I specialize in corrective skincare, waxing and scar/stretchmark camouflage, 3D areola and scalp density tattooing.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, it’s good to have multiple trades in your wheel house. I became a licensed aesthetics instructor and phlebotomist during covid. Opening doors for me continue to earn a living in the medical field as an essential worker.
