Hi Hunter, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was a commercial glass installer for 8yrs and got asked if I would be interested in leaving my job to work for myself subcontracting for an established fence company. I’m a risk taker so I went for it and was the best decision I ever made. After starting there I quickly caught on and after 2 1/2 yrs I became the main installer/salesman for the company. January 1st I had a change of heart about making only labor on all the jobs being installed and decided to start my own business and start selling jobs on my own under my own company. After 4 months the good Lord has blessed me and my family with enough work to last me through the middle of May and have quoted over 40 different fence jobs. I feel good about this yr and my new company.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve joined 2 different networking groups that has kickstarted my company, I’m a paid sponsor on a Facebook group that has 34k members that I can post twice a day. I’ve met many builders and pool guys in my area that refer me business. This area needed a professional good fence builder and I filled that spot with ease.
