Hi Emily, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi! My name is Emily and I own Emily Elizabeth Portraits! I am a Knoxville, TN wedding and engagement photographer! 2022 will be my fourth year of photographing weddings! I always loved to take pictures when I was a kid, always asking for cameras for Christmas.
A few years back, I purchased a beginner camera and decided I would dive completely into my business. It has been my dream to make a living out of something I truly love and I’m so thankful my dreams are turning into my reality!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every journey has rough patches but for the most part, I have loved every minute of it. Don’t get me wrong, it can be a very stressful job but nothing compares to the joy I can give a client when I deliver their gallery.

Emily Elizabeth Portraits specializes in wedding and engagement photography but family, boudoir, and senior sessions are always on my books as well! I am 22 years old. My goal is to make my clients comfortable and laugh during their time with me.
Photographing the special moments as well as the in-between candid moments that genuinely tell your story is my favorite part of my job. Your images will truly tell a story that I am so happy to be a part of. My photography is film-inspired as well as bright and airy!
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Always have a backup plan for weddings! Include an act of God clause in your contracts!
