Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lauren McCrossin.
Hi Lauren, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your back story.
My journey into healthcare spans over seventeen years, with specialized experience in pediatrics, public health, primary medicine, and notably, cardiovascular care. I started my career as a Certified Medical Assistant, and I have been a Registered Nurse for the last eight years. I started my nursing career at UTMC Knoxville and traveled locally and regionally- including COVID crisis assignments.
I moved to remote nursing with Medtronics for a year before I took the leap into entrepreneurship. I am driven by a passion for patient safety and advocacy. I founded Drip into Wellness to offer personalized care solutions, stepping away from the traditional, one-size-fits-all healthcare model. I’m dedicated to providing tailored wellness strategies that stem from my belief in self-guided care and the importance of autonomy in health decisions.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It certainly has not been a smooth road! I wore many hats in my first year of business. Technology is a huge challenge for me, and I have DIYed my website and all my social media content. That has probably been the biggest struggle for me personally.
I am trying to reach the community and tell them about my services and how they can benefit them since many in Knoxville have not heard of IV Therapy outside of the hospital setting, and there is a large education barrier here. Some are also very skeptical of the services as well because they venture from traditional healthcare.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Drip into Wellness?
Drip into Wellness distinguishes itself with a unique array of services, including private IV therapy suites, mobile visits, extended hours, and a generous referral program. Membership options and top-quality service ensure that clients receive the precise health solutions they need, catered to their individual requirements. I offer comprehensive lab testing, including genetic testing, health coaching, and Corporate Wellness.
My approach to health care is anything but generic; my clients benefit from personalized, one-on-one care that addresses their specific needs and symptoms, and my supervising medical director is always available. If you’re a business owner and want to provide a wellness program for your staff to demonstrate you value their health and work-life balance, you should give me a call. I will help boost your employee’s energy, immunity, overall wellness, and morale while decreasing absenteeism, staff turnover, & loss of productivity.
Offering a wellness program also helps recruit and retain top talent. Brand-wise, I am most proud that I am a local woman-owned business with roots in the community. I am not a franchise, I have poured every ounce of professional knowledge and experience into my business, and I take your wellbeing and safety seriously. You are not a cookie-cutter to me. You’re my neighbor!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I like a variety of music, including heavy metal, but I am not a fan of country music, especially today’s “country music”.
