Hidden Gems: Meet Gabe Eveland of Gabriel’s Christmas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabe Eveland.

Hi Gabe, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started by helping a friend’s floral business with holiday decorating services. From there, it morphed into becoming a full year-round Christmas Shop. Clients constantly asked where they could find the products we use, and because we use many high-quality and commercial-grade products, the retail store made sense. We opened in 2018 and have been so ecstatic at the community response and welcome we have received.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Owning a business is never a smooth road, especially starting. We opened in the fall of 2018, and 18 months later, the world was shutting down for COVID. It wasn’t exactly a desirable situation for a new business. But we adapted to the times, and we made it work. Our customer base was generous with purchases during Covid to help keep us afloat.

We’ve been impressed with Gabriel’s Christmas, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
Our year-round Christmas store also features seasonal & home decor and gifts for every season. Additionally, we offer decorating services for holidays, special events, etc. We have even decorated the sets for two Lifetime Christmas movies.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
We offer a quality product you can’t purchase in a big box retailer.
