Exploring Life & Business with Jerica Schultz of Untamed Soulworks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerica Schultz.

Hi Jerica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Untamed Soulworks began as a personal reckoning. Like many millennial women, I was socialized to be perceptive, responsible, and accommodating. I became highly skilled at reading and meeting expectations, which made me capable and reliable. However, after decades of unhappiness, I realized that my true self had eroded. Adaptation stopped feeling like strength.

During my healing process, I turned to tarot and Reiki. What surprised me was how practical they were. Tarot offered structured self-inquiry. It helped me identify patterns I had normalized and clarify which were actually mine versus which were inherited. Reiki supported nervous system regulation and reconnection to my own internal cues. Together, they became tools for rebuilding self-trust.

As I shared my experience more openly, other women began reaching out with similar stories. High-functioning. Successful. Capable. Disconnected from themselves. That’s when Untamed Soulworks took shape as a business.
Today, I work primarily with millennial women who are done shrinking to stay included and are ready to reclaim personal sovereignty. Through structured tarot sessions, Reiki, and ritual practices, I guide clients through processes of clarity and reclamation. My work focuses less on reassurance and more on honest self-definition.

My journey wasn’t about becoming someone new. It was about untaming parts of myself I was conditioned to contain. Building this business has been an extension of that same process. I’ve had to practice the sovereignty I teach by pricing my work without apology, refining my audience, and allowing the brand to evolve alongside me. At its core, Untamed Soulworks exists to support women in defining themselves on their own terms, personally and professionally.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and I wouldn’t trust it if it had been.

My primary struggle has been perfectionism. It’s a pattern I’ve carried for most of my life. For over a year, I found reasons not to launch. I told myself I needed more credentials, more clarity, more polish. In reality, I was afraid of being seen before I felt ready. After the birth of my first child, something shifted. The illusion of “ready” fell apart. I realized that none of the things I thought I needed to begin were actually prerequisites. What mattered was showing up. I couldn’t build a business centered on authenticity and sovereignty while withholding my own. In October 2025, I decided to move forward. The brand wasn’t perfect. The offerings were still evolving. I was well outside my comfort zone. But that decision to begin imperfectly became foundational. It set the tone for how I lead now.

Entrepreneurship has continued to challenge me. There are the practical realities of building a business while raising a child. There are pivots in messaging, pricing decisions, and moments of doubt. But instead of trying to anticipate every obstacle, I’ve learned to respond to what’s in front of me. That shift, from over-preparing to actively engaging, has changed everything. Problem-solving in real time has become one of my favorite aspects of business ownership. It requires presence, trust, and resilience. The same qualities I guide my clients toward are the ones entrepreneurship continues to demand of me.

In many ways, building Untamed Soulworks has been an extension of the work itself. It has required me to stop negotiating with my own voice and step fully into it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Untamed Soulworks?
Untamed Soulworks is a reclamation-focused spiritual practice serving millennial women who are ready to stop shrinking to stay included. At its core, my business supports high-functioning, capable women who have spent years adapting to expectations, whether in family systems, workplaces, or relationships, and are now ready to define themselves on their own terms.

I specialize in structured tarot sessions, Reiki energy work, and guided ritual practices with handcrafted tools that foster clarity, nervous system regulation, and self-trust. While these modalities are often perceived as mystical, I approach them as practical frameworks for reflection and embodiment. Tarot, in my work, is not about prediction. It is a mirror for honest self-reflection. Reiki is not about escape. It is about regulation and reconnection.

What sets Untamed Soulworks apart is its focus on sovereignty over reassurance. I’m not interested in telling clients what they want to hear or positioning myself as an authority over their lives. My role is to facilitate clarity so they can make grounded decisions from their own internal authority. That’s why my signature offering, Reclaimed: A 4-Week Untaming, is intentionally application-based. It combines tarot, Reiki, and ritual into a structured immersion designed to help clients identify where they’ve been negotiating with themselves and actively shift those patterns. The selectivity is intentional. This work requires readiness, and I believe in mutual alignment.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the clarity of the message. Untamed Soulworks does not attempt to serve everyone. It serves a specific woman at a specific turning point. That refinement has strengthened both my impact and my business sustainability. I also take pride in building a business model that supports my values. Entrepreneurship has allowed me to empower other women while also creating flexibility to be present in my role as a mother. That alignment between personal life and professional mission is something I consider part of the brand’s integrity.

What I want readers to know is that Untamed Soulworks is not about transformation as spectacle. It is about quiet, steady reclamation. It is for women who are successful on paper but feel friction internally and are ready to resolve that tension with honesty rather than performance.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One surprising thing people often don’t expect is how structured and analytical I am.

Because I work in spiritual modalities, there’s an assumption that my process is purely intuitive or abstract. In reality, I spent much of my life as a high-achieving over-adapter. I was the dependable one. The responsible one. The one who excelled. I measured my worth through performance for a long time. That experience gives me a deep understanding of successful but internally disconnected, high-functioning women. I recognize my former self in many of my clients.

It’s also why my work is highly structured. I build intentional frameworks for sessions, track recurring themes, and think carefully about pacing and integration. I care about sustainability and business strategy just as much as spiritual depth. From the outside, my work may appear mystical. In practice, it is grounded in discernment, design, and discipline. I bring both intuition and structure to the table, and that balance is what makes the work effective.

Untaming didn’t mean abandoning ambition. It meant redefining it on my own terms.
