Today we’d like to introduce you to Oleg Lee

Hi oleg, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We started making pillows in my father’s 2-car garage. Initially, we made pillows featuring the most popular dog breeds. Then, we sold them at trade shows, flea markets, and local stores. Eventually, we partnered with Groupon, and they agreed to offer 10 of our best-selling dog breed pillows. After we launched and event, we sold close to 20,000 pillows, gaining significant exposure. This led to numerous requests for custom pillows of people’s own dogs. After I learned how to build a website and add a photo upload feature, we launched the website, originally called LifeLikePillows. The business took off, and we started receiving hundreds of orders a day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never been smooth, as we never had the capital or enough knowledge on how to scale the business

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My day-to-day work involves problem-solving, from manufacturing to marketing. I enjoy working with people and helping them grow in their areas. I believe the only way to grow the business is by having a great team. One of the greatest achievements is when the team recognizes you as their leader and feels safe and comfortable when you’re around.
