Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Malone.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Alliance Brewing Co., was founded by Adam Ingle, Ben Seamons, & Chris Howard and opened its doors in September of 2015. We started out as a 3 barrel brewhouse and upgraded to a 10 barrel system in October of 2019 which has since enabled us to start having distribution around the state. We’re located in South Knoxville and currently, just have one location on Sevier Ave.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall yes. There were the typical problems or setbacks that come with building any sort of new business but overall it has been a fairly smooth road. We are extremely happy to be where we are currently. Obviously, Covid set things back just like everyone else in the world but we were able to sell to-go beers during that time and have bounced back nicely since!

My name is Matt Malone and I am currently the taproom manager at Alliance Brewing Co., I came on board about four years ago and have done a little bit of everything since being here.
I love to always have a good time when I’m behind the bar or at the brewery in general, I love working with some of my closest friends, and I love working somewhere where I know most of the people that come in! It truly is a neighborhood brewery. I’m most proud of Alliance being known for its consistency.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Great attitude and willingness to always help out and be there for others along with being available for the business in general. I absolutely love my job and what I do.
