Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan McGuire
Hi Dylan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been a songwriter since I was 19 I just love mixing together melodies and the whole writing process all together,I didn’t really get serious until I joined my first band in 2021 where I actually started writing as a form of therapy ,using real experiences for the words to songs ,it makes the songs more meaningful and makes me feel better in general
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not entirely smoothe,everyone goes through challenges in their lifetimes but mine is more rooted in how I grew up ,I lived in the mountains with my family and no neighbors until I was 13 ,it took me a really long time to learn how to make friends and get along with people so sometimes I feel like an alien or like everyone has the secret key to interaction that I’m not allowed to catch up to
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I write songs and I can sing pretty good ,I write and record the songs so I can make albums and put them online ,I specialize in playing the guitar and drums and I’m most proud of how the melodies are so catchy ,usually I’ll be working and the ideas just pop in to my head randomly ,I’d say what sets me apart is that I don’t really care if other people like the songs at all because not everyone’s gonna like them but I really like them so it makes me feel complete

I like the podcast welcome to nightvale and this book called inherent vice,they make life seem too interesting to be boring ,i also love YouTube
