Check Out Malik Stoudemire’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Malik Stoudemire.

Hi Malik, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My path into videography wasn’t always clear, and it wasn’t until a difficult time in my life that I truly discovered my passion for storytelling through a camera.

A few years ago (2018), I found myself at a low point—sitting out my last semester of college due to financial aid not going through. I was devastated on the front end, but God knew he had a plan for me all along. I felt uncertain about my future and was searching for something that could reignite my spark. That’s when I picked up a camera. What began as a way to pass the time (trying to start a Youtube channel) quickly turned into a deep passion, and helped me get through my last semester.

I started with Photography, but started experimenting with videography due to wanting to stand out. On my journey I was learning how to capture moments, emotions, and stories in ways that felt meaningful. What started as a hobby evolved into a professional pursuit—one driven by my desire to craft beautiful, cinematic narratives that people can hold on to forever.

My talents have taken me all over the world, and I give all the glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Had he not have me sit out that one semester in College in Spring of 2018, I would have been out in the world lost, trying to find my purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Anyone who deep dives into a passion turned business knows it will never be a smooth road, but as long as you stay consistent it will all be worth it.

I cant say I really have ever had a mentor in this Film world, but I have done a lot and took a lot of losses on the front end which were lessons learned that ultimately helped me smooth out the road I’m on today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As I explored different aspects of videography, I found my true calling in wedding videography and graduation content. Weddings are full of raw emotion, love, and joy, and I feel privileged to be able to capture those fleeting moments that tell a couple’s unique love story. There’s nothing more fulfilling than knowing that my work will allow couples to relive their most cherished memories for years to come.

Graduations, on the other hand, hold their own special place in my heart. The sense of accomplishment, the pride in every step forward—these moments deserve to be preserved with the same level of care and artistry.

At Diamond Vizionz, I approach every project with the same passion and commitment to quality. My goal is to deliver videos that go beyond simply documenting events; I want to tell a story—your story—through a lens of creativity, emotion, and precision. I want to make your Vizion a MOVIE!

One major thing that sets me apart from others in the industry is the ENERGY I bring to each set. Often times on wedding days the last thing people want to deal with is the memory capturing portion (ironic right?!?!?), but you have to make it fun for them. It could even help ease some nervousness, because you never know personally what a person is going through. The positive energy you give that person could help them keep pushing through whatever they are facing.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
First and foremost my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He knew from the beginning when I had to take a semester off from school that my whole career was already planned through the pain I experienced, and I wouldn’t change one part of it at all!

I also have to thank the 3 people I spoke to at this event called Kodak Kickback (basically a photoshoot party) all friends from college (Angel, Aisha. and Tay Keith). They all had separate conversations with me and pretty much told me to stay consistent and keep tunnel vision with this camera.

My Lady is SOOOOO supportive also! She’s like the one car in the stands in the Cars movie that’s rooting for him no matter what!

Shoutout to my cousin also, that man put a spare camera in my hand and told me to keep it when he knew I didn’t need it anymore. That one action helped create my future.

Lastly, I want to thank my village. Everyone who has ever truly supported and believed in me from day one when I was recreating music videos to now. I haven’t always been at this level, but you all seen the Vizionz and I will forever be grateful for you all!
