Check Out Eric Caldwell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Caldwell.

Hi Eric, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey begins as an only child surrounded by heartaches and tragedies that turned into beautiful noise with a purpose.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Losing both my parents two months apart from each to cancer when I was 21 was definitely the hardest struggle. But in my struggle, I found therapy in music. I never fully grieved over them so I always let my music do the grieving for me.

When people hear me play some say I have this “soul or blues vibe” in my sound. In all reality, it’s just my inner spirit grieving with a beat. But my tragedies don’t define the person that I am, but rather create a stronger foundation for the human I’m meant to be.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Music.

I am most proud of seeing the country with my art. I’ve traveled to Nashville, Asheville, Kalamazoo, Detroit, Chicago, New York City, Brooklyn, and other places to play music. I’ve recorded albums and singles, I love the idea that once I leave this world you can just press play, and I will always be there.

What sets me apart from others… well, I can’t answer that honestly that question is made for someone else to determine. I’ve been too humbled in my life to compare myself to others. We all have inner differences and special talents that make us different and special as humans.

We are not all here for a long time. So let’s make it a good time… If you are not learning you are not living. If you are not laughing, you are not living right.
