Hi Skee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve lived and served in the Greater Knoxville Area since 2016. I relocated to Tennessee from my home town of Andrews, North Carolina. Helping, serving, and teaching others is in my DNA being raised by a long lineage of school and college teachers.
When entering high school, I met and befriended our business teacher who inspired me to pursue my passion for helping others with my inclination toward economics and finance. From there, I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in personal financial planning.
My finance career began in early 2012 with a prominent credit union in North Carolina. I served as Senior Financial Services Officer for several years before moving to Tennessee. Here in Knoxville, I feel blessed to have built relationships with many individuals, families, and organizations. One Knoxville non-profit organization I advised was recognized as one of four Plan Sponsor of the Year nominees in a well-known national publication in 2024.
I hold designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and Accredited Tax Preparer. I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends along with serving our community through several organizations in the Greater Knoxville Area. My wife Amanda and I are partners both in life and in our business and are incredibly proud of our two sons, Michael (12) and Joseph (2).
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road, but it has been an exciting one! Lots of ups and downs. Graduating with a finance degree shortly after the Great Recession came with many challenges, but I’m grateful for the lessons I learned during those days. Other challenges came from moving to a new state, leaving a couple great jobs for new opportunities, and taking the risk of opening a business. The challenges I’ve faced have all made me stronger professionally and personally.

Many of our clients are skeptical of the financial services industry. That makes sense because in many ways, we are too. Our clients tend to appreciate our complete openness and transparency coupled with the heart of a teacher. We want our clients to learn more about and better understand their finances so they can lead confident, joyful lives.
Our brand reflects our culture: Kinetic is a technical term describing energy produced from motion. We’ve aligned this technical term with soft, welcoming colors and styles. Financial planning can seem complex and unapproachable, but we want to help our clients feel comfortable discussing and addressing their financial challenges and dreams.
We are not the best advisor for every client, but for the clients we serve best, we strive to be the best advisor available for them.
What’s next?
As our firm and culture grows, we are excited to add additional team members in 2026. Our long-term plan is for Kinetic Wealth to be an employee-owned firm guided by our founding principles of others first always. We will continually seek improvement and engage with industry-leading tools and technology to help us do our job to the best of our ability. Doing so will invite many changes over the coming years, but one thing will never change: our drive to support and care for our clients throughout each of their unique financial journeys.
