Hi Angela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started a resale consignment antique and vintage warehouse on Amherst Rd 10 years ago called Floyd’s Antiques. It was to resale and help elderly people sale their items when they had to downsize or go to assisted living. Or the family to sell items when a loved one had passed. It also included on site estate sales. I then went to auctioneer school and got my auctioneer license and could sell items through on line auctions. Then I got my real estate license and became a REALTOR. So I could sell the items in the house and either auction or sell the real estate too. I became a one stop shop.
I moved my shop to Powell a couple years ago and started to rent out booths inside the store for antique vendors.

We also do live events at our location and live auctions on Facebook. As well as hi-bid estate sales.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Lots of struggles along the way. A building that needed updated and brought up to code closed me down just a couple of months after I opened. Covid brought foot traffic to almost a halt, forcing me to move locations, but I got to meet and work with folks I would have never met. My mentor told me that owning a business is not for the faint of heart, and that has proven 100% true. I am thankful for all the people that have helped me when times were tough and God who always gives me strength to endure learn and overcome

What’s next?
Counting to grow and serve Knoxville Knox county and the surrounding areas when people are in need of my services
I get the call when someone is put in assisted living or passes away and they need help sorting and making sense of how to sell their loved ones belongings and home with the care and grace that I would use if it were my own family
I am happy to assist and support and it’s an honor and a ministry opportunity for me.
