Check Out Chuck O’connor’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chuck O’connor

Hi Chuck, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The road I’m walking now started years ago when i became a pastor at my home church in Memphis, Tennessee. I felt called to serve as a pastor initially working with youth and children. My ministry involved many aspects from social, sports, recreational and biblical studies. After 40 years i retired from serving on a church staff but never quit ministering. I served with Knox Area Rescue Ministry for 4 plus years and True Purpose Ministry 4 plus years, as well serving as a Chaplain with Blount County Sheriff”s Department. In 2014 I officiated two weddings for friend that was moving and have been officiating weddings along with pre and post marriage counseling the past 10 plus years with Sensational Ceremonies Officiating services.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been an interesting road at times trying to navigate my family time and the time expected of you by your called ministry responsibilities. As a pastor you’re on call 24-7 and sometimes have to drop what you’re doing including with your family. Over the years you deal with the guilt of missing things with your family because of the demands of your calling as a pastor. I’ve realized that my family really dealt with the challenges and obstacles more than me. Overall it’s been a great road but not always smooth and without obstacles..

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For the past 11 years I’ve been officiating weddings throughout Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Kentucky and Virginia with Sensational Ceremonies. Our group specializes in officiating your special day. We also offer pre marriage counseling sessions as well post marriage if desired. Sensational Ceremonies consists of real ministers with real credentials from a real ministry. We are known for our professionalism, attention to detail, guidance through the process and desire to make your ceremony personal and special to you. I love what I do now with couples and their families and sharing in that special family life event. However, I am most proud of being the best husband, father and grandfather I can be to my family.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The wedding industry is constantly changing each year with new trends and shifts. There are trends for 2025, but they’re just a
small sample of what’s on trend for weddings in the next year and beyond. Wedding trends become trends for good reason – they’re popular, they’re fun and they bring joy to everyone at the wedding. Weddings are totally subjective, so whether you follow these trends or not, your wedding is still going to be the best day ever. So if you’re currently wedding planning there is all kinds of information pertaining to these trend shifts on the internet with wedding consultants such as The Knot, Hitched and Wedding Wire etc.
