Today we’d like to introduce you to Dannita Noble.
Hi Dannita, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started as a full-time artist in the summer of 2023. Beforehand, I was working full-time in the medical field and my love and passion for creating art.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Solely depending on my art to provide for me and my family has been challenging. It’s been an expected path that my income would not be as consistent as my 9-5 paycheck. The main struggles would be adjusting to the unknown and staying mentally healthy through the lows while staying driven and focused on creating art.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an artist. I paint primarily abstract, but I am not limited to that. I am known for my play on canvas with bright and vibrant colors. I paint on canvas, furniture, clothing, murals, and more. I am most proud of the impact of happiness that my art gives to others. When I create, I don’t think I know how to make someone happy by looking at my art. My art lovers and supporters connect to my art, an extension of mine, a piece of me. Knowing that I can make someone feel good by looking and connecting to my art, I believe, sets me apart.
Do you have any advice for those just starting?
I advise those starting to be consistent and prepare for the unknown. Prepare to hear no and be let down, but do not let that mentally guide and discourage you. Create from what is original within yourself. Don’t put yourself in a box. Explore all you love to do and not just what you’re known for doing. Share your experiences and knowledge with others so that we can keep it going. I wish I knew how much I would love this; I may have started sooner rather than later.
