Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlea Sharp
Hi Ashlea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I originally started my business in 2016 after my first son was born with hopes of being able to stay home with him. Business was decent but not enough to justify quiting my full time job in medical billing. In 2020, I had to take a step back when my preemie son was born. By 2021, my business was growing. I opened a vendor storefront with a local small business and was selling my shirts wholesale. In 2022, I found out I was pregnant with my third son and ended up slowing down again. After he turned a year old, I decided to take my business to the next level. With a lot of hard work, I am busier than ever and hoping to continue to grow in 2025.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasnt been a smooth road. Learning how to run and grow a business while also juggling family life is hard work. I have wanted to give up many times but pushed through.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sharp Designs?
I started out selling shirts and have since added a hat bar and shirt transfers. Shirt transfers are newer for me but give others businesses the option of buying locally.
I have mostly been known for my shirts and strive to create unique, one of a kind designs you don’t see anywhere else.
I like to think that my set up with my har bar trailer sets me apart, which I am most proud of.
I do my best to give my customers a one of a kind experience as well as helping them create a custom design they love.
What are your plans for the future?
I am looking forward to expanding my hat bar and adding more options. With my hat bar trailer, the possibilities are endless!
