Hi James , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Southside Garage was opened by David Yousif and James Tourville in 2019. The lifelong friends took the food truck park vision and brought it to South Knoxville. Over the time the business has moved away from the food truck park model and into a neighborhood bar known for its resident food truck Dia De and it’s wide array of beverage options.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Covid was definitely a tough period as we were forced to close. Other then that its been a slow growth with the street but Old Sevier has come a long way.

Southside Garage is a bar located in the Old Sevier area of South Knoxville. We offer a large selection of local craft beers, top notch Southwestern cuisine , and a family friend space complete with large patios and patio games. Whether you’re looking for a lunch break, after work drink, or a casual family dinner, South Side Garage has got you covered!
