Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaitlyn Baker

Hi Kaitlyn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always knew at a young age that I wanted to own a business, but little did I know it would be two full businesses and apart of a third. In 2017 I took the leap to start a commercial photography business, Smoke N’ Lenses. In 2022 I took the leap to start a cleaning/property management business, Southern Cleanin. In 2024 my good friend Andreana Cooper and I started an event planning business, Elevation Events.

Nothing means more to me than being able to provide a quality experience for each guest, to ensure each experience is unique and rememberable.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We work very hard to ensure all of our businesses receive the time and dedication they need to provide the best experiences for our guests. Of course the busy season can be very demanding but luckily with our management team we keep things running smoothly and effortlessly for each and every service we provide!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I wear quite a few hats, I am a business owner, a manager, a photographer, an editor, a cleaner, and of course a mother and wife. In all I am an entrepreneur! I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who has become a partner in the cleaning and photography businesses. He ensures our businesses stay top notch, especially when I’m needed at home, or for maternity leave, as we just welcomed our second child. I’m also blessed to work with the very talented Andreana Cooper for the event planning business, and though we have just started this adventure, I can tell it’s going to lead us to great things!

My speciality is management and photography. Photography has always been my passion, but I decided an associates degree in business management would be the best way to help provide for my family.

I’m most known for my photography and now my entrepreneurship as well. I hope to encourage others to work for themselves or at least to dream big and never give up!

I am more proud of never giving up, teaching others that big dreams can be accomplished, and of course finding a way to put my family first.

What sets my businesses apart is that we are people. We will treat you like a person not just a dollar sign. We will listen to you, and do our absolute best to accommodate anything needed. We know that everyone is valuable and we plan to show that in our services we provide.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes! Covid taught us that you can never be too careful, and to treasure every day as tomorrow is not promised. It taught us that a contactless booking system is magical. We learned to have faith in the most extreme times and that God is all we can truly rely on.
