Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Sutton
Hi Sasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We were both photographers before we met, each with our own paths, but photography was always our shared dream. After getting married in 2018, we decided to combine our talents and start a wedding photography business together. We thrive on capturing real, unposed moments of love, which is why we’re so drawn to working with couples who have a unique story to tell. For us, photography is more than a job, it’s a way to connect with people and capture the raw, intimate moments that define real love. Our dream has always been to be photographers, but our biggest dream was always marriage, and we found that in each other.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely had its ups and downs. Like any business, we’ve had our share of dry seasons and super busy ones. But nothing worth having comes easy. The biggest challenge has been staying consistent and pushing through the tough times. Over time, though, that consistency has helped us grow, and we’ve learned to ride out the highs and lows together.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We’re photographers, and while we do everything from family photos to weddings, we specialize in small weddings and elopements. Our style is very raw and real. Think journalistic with a focus on capturing moments as they unfold, not posed. We love the authenticity that comes with shooting weddings this way.
What sets us apart is that we’re a husband and wife team, and we shoot every wedding together. We’ve found that working as a couple creates a more consistent, seamless experience for our clients. We know each other’s style and movements, which helps us capture moments from different angles without missing a beat. It’s a flow that’s hard to replicate with a different second shooter every time.
What we’re most proud of is how we’ve stayed true to our vision of capturing genuine moments, while also maintaining a sense of teamwork that makes our couples feel truly taken care of. And we’re thrilled to share that our work has been recognized. The Knot awarded us Best of Weddings 2025, and WeddingWire honored us with the Couples Choice Award 2025. It’s an incredible feeling to know our clients appreciate the work we do.
