Today we’d like to introduce you to Brighton Roggeman
Hi Brighton, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I always had the dream of being an entrepreneur and owning my own small business. Being a business owner ran in my family. Both my parents and grandparents are also small business owners. I thought I would achieve that goal a lot later in life. I am a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee with a bachelors of science in communications with a focus in public relations. After graduating college, I saw a need for digital marketing within the Knoxville community and decided to start my own freelance digital marketing company. Brightside Digital Marketing started as a concept and quickly flourished into a brand and company.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I feel like it has been a smooth road so far. It is definitely nerve-racking to start your business at a young age, but luckily, I had a lot of experience throughout college and many internships.

Our vision is to bring joy and creativity to digital marketing and creating ideas that will help your brand shine. We specialize in freelance social media strategy, content creation, logo design, branding, and consulting. Brightside is a small business that understands other small businesses.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was an old soul who always beat by my own drum. I was a creative from a very young age and saw the world through a unique perspective. I had an interests in history, music, and fashion. My favorite past times were reading Vogue and adding to my extensive record collection.
