Hi Jamie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My wife and I have always aspired to be small business owners. Two years ago, we started conversations and quickly decided we wanted a business we were passionate about, and dogs are our shared passion.
My wife and I have always worked in corporate careers, her in insurance and me in banking, so we wanted to leverage our experiences. Just over two years ago, we moved from Maine to Knoxville with the intention of starting The Dog Stop Knoxville.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There has been no shortage of hurdles as we have navigated the steps of starting a business from start to finish. The hard work that we have endured makes opening our doors on April 1st even more rewarding.
