Today we’d like to introduce you to Mason Burchette.
Hi Mason, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started in this industry when I was 18 years old as a forklift driver in a warehouse in Asheville, NC. I worked my way up through the ranks at that company and eventually became the Director of Marketing and Development. Having been in the industry for nearly a decade I made the decision to leave the company and start a new manufacturing business built on customer service. We have a passion for serving people and believe in treating everyone with respect. We often say we aren’t in the metal business, we’re in the people business and we just happen to sell metal roofing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Anytime you start a new venture, there is adversity. As part of our launch, we had a new warehouse and showroom built. Navigating delays in construction while trying to maintain lead times on receiving equipment and inventory proved challenging during the launch phase.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We specialize in manufacturing and supplying metal roofing and siding products for residential use. We also supply post-frame buildings with construction-grade steel trusses.
We’re proud to offer high-quality materials made only from American steel and coated with American coatings. We believe metal roofing and siding is a retail product and that end users should feel empowered over their purchase. We differentiate ourselves by providing educational resources for these end users. From an online resource center to a consumer-focused podcast, to in-house training events, we dedicate much of our time and energy providing free training and education to those we believe will benefit from our products.
Any big plans?
We believe the sky is the limit for True Metal Supply. We are excited to continue integrating technology into the way we go to market and make it even easier for consumers to learn, quote and order metal roofing, siding and post frame products.
