Inspiring Conversations with Chloe Padilla Medrano of Lil Bull Fitness and Nutrition

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Padilla Medrano.

Hi Chloe, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My father, Frankie Padilla, opened Frankie’s Body Shop in 2009 when I was 13. I was around the gym all the time and fell in love with it. I had been in sports my whole life (18 years with soccer), and it came naturally and was so fascinating to see how the body could move and change. Just like my dad, I also wanted to help people live longer lives and be happier.

So, I started training at 17, and it grew from there! I also started competing in bodybuilding competitions in the bikini category at this time, and ended up competing 6 times! I trained clients through high school and college until I got my degree in Health and Human Performance. Then, I started managing the facilities and the trainers. During this time, I also started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, where I fought twice, and I just got my blue belt in BJJ this year!

My dad is always on a mission to grow and constantly get better, which I model myself and my business after. I created our non-profit called Frankie’s Lift for a Cause in 2018, where we do charity lifting events to benefit children with life-threatening illnesses. Frankie’s grows more and more every day, and this year we began teaching classes under FBS Combat Club, which I am the owner of!

I teach cardio kickboxing and assist in BJJ!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely not been a smooth one, nor will it ever be. Always pushing the boundaries definitely comes with its aches and woes, but they are always 100% worth the outcome.

When you are constantly growing to be better, you have people who will tell you no or won’t believe that it can happen… I watched my dad deal with it for years, and now I push right alongside him. Frankie’s wouldn’t exist without taking the leap of faith that my dad did, so you have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone sometimes to get things done.

I’ve always had to deal with people who look over me or try to undermine me because of my age or the fact that I am a woman, but that’s never stopped anyone who wanted to achieve greatness. I’m just happy to have my mom and dad to guide me along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Lil Bill Fitness and Nutrition?
I am the owner of Lil Bill Fitness and Nutrition and FBS Combat Club. I manage and am the head trainer at Frankie’s Body Shop, and I am the President of the 501c3 non-profit, Frankie’s Lift for a Cause.

I have been a personal trainer for almost 8 years, and I have my personal trainer certification, MMA strength and conditioning coach certification, sports nutrition specialist certification, and I’m an accredited Interscholastic coach. I also am the assistant coach to a high school girls soccer team in the fall! I do one on one personal training, and I teach cardio kickboxing!

The one thing that I want people to know about my personal training is that I get results! I offer specialized nutrition plans to pair with weightlifting workouts and a cardio schedule to get you the best results possible! I am extremely proud of all of my clients who dedicate themselves to living healthier lifestyles and it is an honor to be a small part of their journey!

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Many people may not know that I struggle with my own health issues, as I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometritis.

It causes me to have issues with my own weight gain and fertility, so I am a huge advocate for women’s health and using exercise and nutrition to help your body work to the best of its abilities and to keep balanced hormones. Hormones play a larger role in our bodies, especially women, more than people think!

It can affect hunger, fatigue, mood, weight gain/loss, etc.
