Meet Kim Monroe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Monroe.

Hi Kim, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a creative entrepreneur and published photographer specializing in various forms of media, marketing, and branding. I took interest in photography at 14 years old, I started shooting with a disposable camera on vacations with my dad.

My interest in photography grew and I attended the Art Institute of Atlanta for Photographic Imaging. After pursuing my degree, I started my own photography business: Faith Impression Studio

My journey as a photographer has been very rewarding, in 2020 Resilient Ambition was created to inspire dreamers to Remain Resilient in their ambition. It’s more than just a clothing line, it’s movement… a lifestyle. Within the last three years, there’s been an increase in gun violence, in a smaller city with limited opportunities I wanted to create something that gave hope to the next generation.

At times, life has a way of making us feel defeated, sometimes we bury our hope and dreams due to our circumstances. Where ever you are in your journey you can choose to unbury your dreams and pursue your purpose with Resilient Ambition.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road however I have learned to fully embrace every part of the journey. In pursuit of purpose, I believe there will always be resistance, trials, & setbacks but if you want it, you’ve got to be resilient.

Along the way, I’ve experienced many setbacks & learned a few hard lessons. However every part of the journey has prepared me for the next level. I encourage everyone with a dream to never become a slave to the perceptions of others, the first thing you must be secure in is your identity.

There is something unique about you that no one else has, in an over-saturated creative field you have to be confident in your unique creative ability. I’ll be honest, one of the hardest lessons I had to learn was establishing boundaries within the confines of business and protecting my brand.

Unfortunately, you do have to be aware of your circle, some of the people you want to be around for the journey are the very ones you may not be able to take with you. Be wise about who you share your dreams with, everyone doesn’t want to see you win.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a creative entrepreneur specializing in photography, marketing, and branding. I am known for my photography business: Faith Impression Studio. I’m most proud of my versatility, my photography business was established in 2011.

Although my journey as a photographer has been very rewarding I wanted to inspire other creatives to pursue their purpose Resilient Ambition was created to inspire dreamers to remain resilient in their ambition. Resilient Ambition is more than just a clothing line, it’s an affirmative lifestyle. Our goal is to connect and empower each of our customers to remain resilient.

Resilience is the capacity to recover from difficulties, most of us can agree that the last few years have been challenging. If you have a dream it’s never too late to unbury your dreams and choose the purpose you pursue.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
In your search for a mentor, it’s important to first establish your individual goals, use that as a foundation to find a mentor that has reached a level of success that you inspire to reach.

Networking is just as important as marketing, it goes hand and hand. Building business relationships with other business owners expand your reach. Usually, your biggest fan is a stranger, it’s important to step outside of your everyday environment and engage others.
