Today we’d like to introduce you to Mallory Huffstetler.
Hi Mallory, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I originally started my cosmetology career in Memphis, TN. I attended school in 2012 at Gould’s Academy. Due to my husband being in the military from Memphis I relocated to Nashville, TN, Panama City Beach, FL, Key West, FL, and now we’re in our permanent location Chattanooga, TN!
Over the years, I have continued educating myself to really hone in on my craft!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not always been the most smooth road! Continuously starting over every few years and completely rebuilding my clientele can be challenging in my industry.
One year my family and I even went through a category 5 hurricane in Panama City Beach that wiped away my salon completely. Thankfully, no matter how many times we’ve relocated, and the natural disasters we experienced, I’ve always been lucky enough to find wonderful salons and teams to work with wherever I go!
Each time it gets better and my craft improves even more!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in lived-in color, balayage, blonde, and precision haircutting! Being a cosmetologist, we all wear many hats! I am a business owner, colorist, photographer, social media manager, and more but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I genuinely love my career so much and I truly believe it shows with each guest that sits in my chair.
The smile I get at the end of every session, the connections I make with each guest, and the freedom and artistry my craft allows me are the reason I do what I do!
